Richard Clift Jr is a 12 year veteran of the live music scene bringing audiences his brand of acoustic soul and real life rock'n'roll to venues all across the Oklahoma and Texas region.Clift, a Kiowa-Apache Native American, grew up in Carnegie, Oklahoma and spent most of his career in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff. As the opportunities came, he felt it was finally time to answer his calling and use his "God given" talent to pursue music full time. Four years ago, Clift became a full time musician and has been hitting the road ever since."I write mostly from my personal experiences and current situations," Clift said. "Music saved me from a very dark place that once consumed me. My goal is to save someone else from the same place with my own music and even covers that mean a lot to me."Clift states his influences include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Dylan Wheeler, Layne Staley (Alice In Chains), Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Chris Cornell, Giovannie And The Hired Guns, and Koe Wetzel with whom he has a personal connection -- Clift is best friends with Wetzel's guitar player Shyloh Powers. "We call each other's mom and dad 'mom and dad' and we are godfathers to each others kids." Clift said.

"It's been really great and eye-opening to see what goes on behind the scenes with artists at that level," Clift said. "It's really shown me how to run a solid show."Since his start, Clift has played over 900 shows in eleven states, and his music has taken him all the way to states such as Maine and Montana. These travels have helped him grow a 10k+ following online across all platforms.He currently has two singles out called "No One to Blame" and "Easier with Time" which was just released this past Veteran's Day in 2023.
